Hats off to Kidino, a well known internet marketer from Malaysia, for releasing a new script to solve the problem of "how do I sell my digital product ... and deliver it?".

Before I get into the product, and how you can get it, here's a brief bio of Kidino.

Kidino has a powerful mix of technical, graphical, and marketing skills not usually seen in the internet marketing space.

Some of his niches include:

Kidino frequently uses concepts from the "Freemium" business model, where visitors are encouraged to get something for free and then pay for upgrades or "premium" packages.

So it's no suprise that his latest product, Simple IPN, is free.

What Kidino has released is a simple script to allow marketers to sell downloadable products (ebooks, software, files, pictures, etc.) AND deliver them to their paying customers via expiring download links.

You can get Kidino's Simple IPN script free here and if you want to remove the advertising link it's a small $10 fee that you pay to Kidino. So far the tactic seems to be working, as he's had hundreds of downloads to date.

It has several other handy features but you also need to remember that this isn't a full blown digital download membership system and is limited to Paypal hence the "IPN" = Paypal's Instant Payment Notification, in the product name

If you want to invest in a more full-featured product there's several available, including one that I use from Sam Stephens called DLGuard.

But if you're just getting started as a merchant, and want to set up a site to sell something easily, Simple IPN is a good way to get started.

One question I had for Kidino was whether or not his script supported an affiliate program.

Although it's not built into his simple script, the answer is yes - it will support most third party affiliate tracking systems such as Post Affiliate Pro or iDevAffiliate

You can see my question and Kidino's answer on his blog here:

Enjoy!

Cheers,

Peter Koning
